Introduction to Park Güell

If you’re in Barcelona, you should definitely stop by the artistically significant UNESCO site, categorized in 1984 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Park Güell is an internationally renowned municipal garden. It is indeed Antoni Gaud’s creation, the legendary architect who is well-known for the creation of Sagrada Familia.

Park Güell, a prime example of Catalan modernism, welcomes everyone for a lively promenade. It is one of Barcelona’s top attractions that showcase Catalan culture. Its fame lies in the undulating benches and reptilian appearance covered in mosaics. Here we give you some advice and all the information you need to visit Park Güell so you don’t miss anything from this remarkable masterpiece.

Entrances to Park Güell

Park Güell leads three entrances.

Carrer de Larrard: The park’s main entrance is the most beautiful.
Carretera del Carmel: The entrance is located next to the parking lot at the park’s western boundary.
Av. del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya: The park’s eastern entrance features an escalator for your convenience.

* We advise entering through the main entrance unless you are traveling in a group in a carriage.

* Tourists traveling to Park Güell by sightseeing bus prefer the entrance on the Carretera del Carmel because of the bus park.
